About

ArtWorksKC is a Metro-wide Cohort of organizations, working together to foster and support artists and makers in all disciplines.

Objectives:

1. Grow critical businesses skills, tools, resources and partnerships for our Creative work force to be more nimble, inspired, impactful, relevant and competitive.

2. Help participants create and maintain job opportunities, decrease their underemployment and increase revenue.

3. Teach Creatives and Entrepreneurs the tools needed to attain ‘a seat at the table’ with government, educational institutions and other community development sectors.

4. Educate other sectors about Creative Arts Industries and SocioCultural Entrepreneurship as critical components in innovative community development.

5. Activate networks and cooperative partnerships to further grow and support participants’ projects.

6. Broaden regional outreach, partnerships, constituents and professional providers.

7. Elevate the Creative Industries interconnection, communications and national profile.

8. Contribute, through arts and cultural businesses, to the economic vibrancy of the region.

9. Through more successful Creative Entrepreneurship, attract visitors, cultural tourism, audiences and further investments.

10. Deepen the understanding of the economic importance and impact of Creative Arts Industries by measuring how the Creative Arts Industries impact economic/community development.
